Where: She will be leading three signature YBC® Workshops at Starting Line Health and Fitness, 1771 W. HAMLIN RD, ROCHESTER HILLS, MI 48309. 

When: November 10th and 11th, 2017. See times below.

Cost: $55 each. The first 20 participants to sign up for all three classes will receive a swag bag worth over $100.

 

Friday, Nov 10, 6:30-8:30pm - Slow Flow and Grow

In this juicy delicious yoga flow session, we'll move with strength, grace, and a deep connection to intention. The playfully sequenced class will be peppered with unexpected poses that will challenge your strength, and help develop mobility and fluidity as we link breath with movement. Finally, we'll end the class with a deep, guided yoga nidra meditation. They say that fifteen minutes of yoga nidra is like taking a four hour nap, so you can expect to feel rejuvenated and revived by the end of class. Please bring: yoga mat, eye mask or headband you can use as a blindfold.

  

Saturday, Nov 11, 10:00am-12:00pm - Arm Balance Workshop

This arm balance workshop is for my people looking for instruction and a safe space to play with things like crow, headstand, forearm stand, grasshopper pose, eight angle pose, fallen angel and of course, handstand. No prior arm balance knowledge needed! We'll begin with a yoga flow to open up the entire body, and then work our way into a bit of core and arm work before breaking the poses down one by one. Please bring: Yoga mat. If you have a yoga block (or two!), bring it (but you don't need to run out and buy one, just bring what you have).

*Please note: Starting Line Fitness is offering complimentary passes to their LYFT sessions that morning at 7am or 8am for anyone joining the YBC workshops on Saturday. Please contact them for details.

Saturday, Nov 11, 1:30pm - 3:30pm - Restore and Revive with Aromatherapy

This super relaxing restorative yin yoga class will incorporate aromatherapy to help aid in total relaxation. This is the class to take if you are feeling particularly tight throughout the body, as restorative yin is one of the best ways to begin developing increased mobility.  It's also a class you'll want to take if you are super stressed out. The aromatherapy and readings throughout the class are designed to help you achieve immediate relaxation, and help develop tools to deal with anxiety and stress in the future. Please bring: Yoga mat, 2 thick towels/blankets, any yoga blocks you have (you don't need to run out and buy any, but if you have them, bring them), and eye mask or headband you can use as a blindfold.

Coming from Out of Town?

The Royal Park Hotel is located in Rochester, MI. Rochester is a small downtown with great restaurants and unique shopping. It is located near a large park and an extensive running and bike trail. 


The Townsend Hotel is located in Birmingham, MI. Birmingham is a bit more upscale, with more restaurants and shopping. The town is a bit larger and has more of a boutique feel. 

Logistics

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class so you can fill out a waiver. 
  • Please check class descriptions above to see what you should bring to the class. 
  • If you have a copy of Namaslay, you are welcome to bring it for Candace to sign.
