Costa Rica Jungle Yoga Retreat 2015

pin now, and join us in costa rica this november!

We are so psyched to extend an invitation to join us in Costa Rica for a jungle yoga retreat for total rest and relaxation. Each time we lead a retreat, we try to create a very specific vibe. Sometimes it's about adventure and exploring, and other times it's about taking some time out for self-care. That's what this retreat is all about. We'll come together in a beautiful private vacation home with a pool that overlooks the jungle and Costa Rica's largest lake - Lake Arenal. When we were last there in March, we saw monkeys in the trees! Insane.

Morning yoga class in Costa Rica

It's so quiet there - well, actually scratch that. It's loud there - there are birds and howler monkeys and crickets and all sorts of wild beasts that make crazy sounds, but what you won't hear is any traffic, airplanes, or loud music. This is truly a chance to be with nature...but in a modern way. We'll have wifi, each room has a private bathroom, etc. There is no a/c, but since we're in the mountainous jungle, the air is cooler at night, and it's not really needed. This is an opportunity to deepen your yoga practice, explore Costa Rica's beautiful Lake Arenal and Volcano Arenal area, and above all, relax.

Accommodation, Food, and Pricing

Fresh papaya at breakfast at our Costa Rica retreat

We'll be in a beautiful private vacation home (seen in the first part of the video below from our last Costa Rica retreat). The home is located within a gated community in the jungle of Costa Rica. We'll be walking distance to Lake Arenal, where you'll be able to swim, or take wind surfing lessons! There are a handful of restaurants nearby where you'll be able to enjoy lunch. A rental car is recommended- Costa Rica's roads have made significant improvements in the last few years and the roads are safe and easy to navigate. We can help arrange transfers if needed, or alternatively, students can let us know if they're interested in sharing a car and we can help you make arrangements to meet at the car rental office at the airport. Costa Rica is home to the most wonderful, friendly people, and this will be Candace's third yoga retreat in Costa Rica, but her 11th or 12th time visiting. We can't wait to welcome you.

The food will be typical Costa Rican food - fresh fruits and juices, empanadas (gluten-free), gallo pinto (the best breakfast dish of rice and beans), fresh veggies and of course, fried plantains. Meat will be served, because this is traditional Costa Rican food - but we are happy to accommodate vegetarians and vegans - just let us know.

  • as a couple/friends (shared queen bed): $960 each
